British Murders Unsolved | Episode 7: Alistair Wilson (Nairn, Scottish Highlands, 2004)
In November 2004, a quiet evening in the Highland town of Nairn was shattered by an act of sudden and shocking violence. A young father was gunned down on his own doorstep in front of his wife, and the case would go on to become one of the most baffling unsolved murders in modern Scottish history.
The victim was 30-year-old Alistair Wilson - a well-liked local man with a promising career and seemingly no enemies. But as detectives dug deeper into the case, questions began to pile up. Why had a man come to the house asking for him by name? What was in the mysterious blue envelope he was handed just minutes before his death? And why, over 20 years later, has nobody ever been charged?
This is a story marked by unanswered questions, a growing list of theories, and a family left searching for justice in a case that refuses to fade quietly into the past.
